To give you more information, below you will find links to several news articles and other media reports about Virtual Assistants and how VAs are helping small businesses. I've also included information on where you can find the best VA for your specific needs.

Virtual Assistance in the news:

Finding a VA:

Finding a Virtual Assistant is easy. Choosing the right VA takes some thought. You can pick the first one you find, but does she have the experience you need? You can pick the one with the lowest fees, but does she share your values? You can even pick me, but I am right for you?

Remember, you are trusting this person with your business. You need to make sure she is the best VA for your particular needs.

Things to consider: Are you compatible? Do you have similar workstyles? Does she seem interested in your business? Is she interested in you as a person? Is she asking you questions about your goals? Do you need someone with specialized skills or knowledge, and does she have them?

The best way to achieve this is to speak on the phone two or three times (or meet in person if you're in the same geographic area), and listen to what she says. And since two heads are better than one, a good VA will be doing the same. She'll be thinking about whether the two of you are a good match, and do you each have skills that complement the other's.

A word of caution. I've recently become aware that there are organizations providing VA "certification" status to anyone who will pay for it. If you are considering working with a VA holding an advanced degree you should ask who issued the degree and what was required of the VA to earn it.

I've listed some sites below with registries or directories to help you find the perfect VA for you.
